ADVANCED K9 TACTICS FOR PATROL This course is designed for the canine handler deploying in a patrol environment. This challenging course includes both discussion and practical application techniques addressing the following subjects: • Pre-deployment brief • Area and Building search deployment tactics • Directed and non-directed search tactics • Arrest team tactics and planning • Contingency planning • Handler / K9 shooting tactics Two days of practical application exercises and instruction designed to prepare the canine handler for the most complex and demanding deployments, this course is applicable to all experience levels The course will be instructed by Ernie Wolosewicz, founder of CDS. Ernie is a retired K9 Unit Supervisor and unit trainer from the Long Beach Police Department. Ernie is experienced in handling Patrol / SWAT / Tracking K9, explosive and narcotics Detection K9, and was an entry team leader on the SWAT team. Ernie has an extensive amount of operational and training experience and has developed & implemented training, tactics and protocols for the Long Beach Police Department K9 Unit.
